A Day Pass to Secrets Huatulco Resort and Spa offers unlimited luxury such as all-inclusive cocktails, gourmet cuisine and sparkling swimming pools, without booking an overnight guest room.

If you’re on a cruise excursion, a romantic getaway or a long layover, a Resort Day Pass for breakfast, lunch, dinner or the full day may be just what you’re looking for.

Here’s what you need to know about getting a day pass to Secrets Huatulco Resort and Spa.

How to Get to Secrets Huatulco

The fare to take the Sur Bus from Puerto Escondido‘s ADO/OCC bus station is 78 pesos one way. Once you’ve arrived at the Huatulco Bus Station located in La Crucecita,  it’s a 10 minute taxi ride to Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa. It’s located at the end of Boulevard Benito Juarez at the very end of the hotel zone  situated on pretty Conejos Bay.

Although a Nickelodeon resort and waterpark are planned for the property next to Secrets Huatulco, currently it’s the closest resort to La Copalita Archeological Site.

What’s Included in Secrets Huatulco Day Pass

Secrets Huatulco has eight bars, including a swim-up bar, the Skybar, a beachfront bar and grill, a lobby lounge with live music nightly. Nine gourmet restaurants, offering seafood, upscale Mexican, Pan-Asian, Italian and more are also on offer.

If you visit Secrets Huatulco to enjoy your day pass, you definitely need to made a stop at the stunning Sky Bar. While the 360 degree views from this centrally-located bar are fantastic at any time of the day, it’s especially memorable at sunset when the setting sun casts a warm glow on the stone and the flickering flames of the fire pits make it ultra romantic.

You can often see herons diving for fish and humpback whales  migrating in the Pacific waters right offshore.

Another advantage of a Day Pass at Secrets Huatulco (and all Secrets Resorts) is that no reservations are needed for any of the restaurants. So whether you opt for the buffet, a seaside grill or a la carte dining you just appear at the check-in desk at the restaurant of your choice and the host or hostess will  seat you. In very rare circumstances there may be a wait.

My personal choices for the best dining at Secrets Huatulco include  Castaways ( swoon-worthy views plus steak and seafood) as well as Tamarindo ( authentic Mexican cuisine) where I enjoyed the best birria ( a beef stew redolent with spices and served with steaming corn tortillas) I’ve had since I was in Tepic, Nayarit.

Bonus: Guests are not required to wear an all-inclusive wrist band at any Secrets, Dreams or other AMResort

A Secrets Resort Day Pass also gives you access to activities including non-motorized water sports so you can kayak the calm waters of Conejos Bay, go paddle boarding or participate in water aerobics or other classes. Two tennis courts, a fitness centre as well as a new jungle boardwalk for birdwatching round out the offerings.

You can even enjoy the beautiful Sky Bar at Secrets Huatulco on a Day Pass

I’m not usually a resort person but you’ve made me reconsider. There’s nothing like all inclusive for relaxation and rejuvenation. It looks like a perfectly placed resort as well. Kudos.
