If you’re headed to Oaxaca, Mexico and can’t decide whether you should spend your time soaking up the culture in Oaxaca City or lounging on the beaches of Huatulco, Puerto Escondido and Mazunte, your dilemma is over. On November 9, 2015, TAR Aerolíneas will begin flights between Oaxaca City and Huatulco which means it’s now even easier (and cheaper) to combine beach time with city time. It used to be you’d have to spend a fortune on a pricey flight or endure 20+ hours on one of the buses travelling the winding mountainous highway connecting the two destinations. No more. Now you can do both.

And to make it even more enticing, for a limited time period, TAR is offering fantastic promotional fares, quoting $688 MXN pesos (around $42 USD including taxes)  for one-way fare from Oaxaca City to Huatulco and $806 MXN pesos ($49 USD including taxes)  from Huatulco to Oaxaca City.

Who is TAR Airlines? They are a Mexican regional airline operating a fleet of 50-passenger Embraer 145 ERJ, a twin-engine jet produced by Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace company. Based in Querétaro, Mexico, they launched service on March 3, 2014 to Guadalajara and quickly expanded to 21 destinations throughout Mexico.

I am always amazed at the low prices that can be found with regional carriers. It’s too bad the U.S. and Canadian markets are sewn up so tightly. Consumers deserve the aspects of a free market. This is an amazing value.

What an incredible price! We wanted to drive from Huatulco to Oaxaca City but didn’t have the time. This would have made it doable!

What a great deal! I’ve never been to Oaxaca City but I absolutely LOVE Hualulco! Next time I’ll get to visit both!

With this new fantastic promotional fare, many tourists would flock to Mexico. Given the chance, I would like to fly and be jet lag free with my anti jet lag buddy, jetLAGFX http://www.jetlagfx.com/. What an enticing offer indeed.
